Football, Religion and Education

My main question on that topic is, how become people football fans.
And how influences football the life of this people.
There are some quiet interessting books about it.
For example "Fever Pitch - The Story of a Fan" by Nick Hornby

I want to write down the story how I become a football fan, do a (vergleich - Ill check it ill promisse, something with compare I guess), between Religion and Football, and finaly ask the question how much education is reasonable for people to belive in god or in football.

Yeah thats the Idea.
What do you guys outside think about it?
Do you understand what i mean?

Great idea!
try to relate the topic to education and learning.
Are we socialised to be fans or non-fans? Is at a cultural learning process or a biographical learning process? you could look at norbert elias: ueber den prozess der zivilisation

Norbert Elias "Über den prozess der Zivilisation"

In the Introduction is he quoting Talcott Parson, which makes a difference between Community (Gemeinschaft) and Society (Gesellschat).
Community so Parsons, is characterised through emitonalaty (Affektivität), and Society is characterised through neutral emotionalaty. (Affektive Neutralität)

I have to check out this words too.
Memo at me:
I should do a Word check list, here in My Research Diary!
